My weightloss

Written by jellybeansss on April 11, 2007
I guess I should be proud of myself and not so critical. My weight when I arrived home from giving birth to my daughter in April 05' was 263.5 lbs. My weight loss anniversay is in 11 days. I have so far lost 90.5 lbs. I wanted to be down to 150 by then. Well thats not going to happen, but I am very proud of myself for not giving up.
I now know why it has taken me so long to lose my weight and why my weight loss has come to a screeching hault. I HAVE NOT BEEN EXERCISING! I am all flab! I really wanted to be able to wear a swimsuit this summer. I wanted to be able to wear shorts and enjoy myself without having to look down and see if a big fat roll is sticking out..lol. So my question for any and all who might glance at this is.....Is it possible to tone up in just 2 months? My upper arms are a site! I have wings!! lol. WEll not really funny though because my upper body looks thin except for them. I have been doing tricept exercises, but you can't tell a difference. My upper arms measure in at 13"! They are bone and flab lol. I know in the back of my mind that cardio will burn it off, but I'm not sure if it will do it in time for tank tops!I know setting around isn't going to fix them either so I best get my arse up and move around. I just dont understand why I have slimmed down on the rest of my body, but not my arms. Is it true the last on is the first off?

Wow, 90.5 pounds... great job! You can absolutely make a lot of changes in two months. You are correct, cardio is going to contribute most to shrinking the size of your arms. Combine that with strength training and you'll be one toned lady! Good luck :0)

Thank you! I'm giving it my best and that's all I can do. I have started this time on the Gazelle instead of the treadmill. I have never used it, but i'm hoping for great results. I did ten minutes each of bun, arms , and kick boxing also. It's hard to get more than that done with a toddler running around. lol.

I'm also impressed! That takes a lot of dedication. I agree with you both - cardio is the way to go, but don't forget the strenght. Good luck!
