Main Goal

Ok, check this out... I went to the Dr. (VA Hospital) and their scale, with clothes on, read 247lbs. I have an appointment in 3 months (from 12/15) to get all my blood work done again. I will post my blood work numbers here also. They tell me I am per-diabetic and want me to take a class to teach me how to manage diabetes. I told them NO. Test me again in 3 months. So they will.

My PERSONAL goal is 30 lbs of nasty FAT off this body in 3 the months.

About Me

44 years old and seriously out of shape! A Navy Veteran, I have gained some serious weight over the last few months, and have gotten to a point where I don't care about my health. THAT HAS TO CHANGE, so with my daughter on my heart, and the driving force for this change, I want to challenge everyone else to not only help us reach our goals for this Memorial Fund in her honor, but to also get that bod of yours a little healthier.

Hello fellow UNYR2 competitor,

I’m sending this message to all original members of the Ultimate New Years Resolution 2 challenge. You may or may not be aware, but this challenge has ended in speculation. There have been accusations of cheating by members, and in the end a refusal by the challenge author (HEAVYMETAL) to pay out ANY prize money. The reason that I am posting this is to make everyone aware of the suspicious actions of HEAVYMETAL, and to propose a solution.

You paid money to join the challenge, and whether you stood to win prize money or not, you deserve to know where your money went. At this point I do not feel that ANYONE should be receiving ANY prize money. The only fair resolution to this challenge is for HEAVYMETAL to refund each and every person who originally entered the challenge. And I say this even though I finished in the top 3. HEAVYMETAL originally posted that he was going to refund each person who successfully completed the challenge (presumably “pocketing” the rest). However, he has since then deleted that message. He has also stated that his pc time has been reduced; however I believe this to be a “stall tactic”. I personally do not believe that HEAVYMETAL still has the money.

If HEAVYMETAL actually has the money, then it should be no problem to refund each person. However, all money needs to be refunded IMMEDIATELY. I have posted a list of all original members on HEAVYMETAL’s home page and I have requested a refund for each person. To make it even more clear, you may want to post your username and PayPal email address on HEAVYMETAL’s home page and personally ask him for a refund of the $40 entry fee. Any delay by HEAVYMETAL to refund everyone only confirms his guilt.

A discussion forum has been set up (outside of WeightLossWars) in order to further discuss everything that has occurred:

Yeah, my son works at Great Adventure (Kingda Ka). He wasn't there today, he is back in the hospital. Very nerve racking.

We should meet up for a beer sometime!

Thanks Rob. I also cut out cardio this week in favor of more resistance training. That and a low carb/ high protein diet this last few weeks has made some big changes for me. Keep it up.
